The History of the Michael D. Carroll Law Office

 

           After more than twenty years of working in some of Southern New Jersey’s larger law firms, Michael opened his own office in Linwood in April 2004. Michael Carroll is a member of both the New Jersey Bar (since 1981) and the Pennsylvania Bar (since 1980).

            He graduated from the University of Scranton magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in Political Science in 1977. Immediately after graduating from college, he attended Temple University School of Law, and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1980. Since then, he has been engaged in the practice of law on a fulltime basis.

            Michael is presently engaged in the general practice of law with an emphasis concentrating in the fields of real estate, wills and estate administration, contract law, small business law, municipal court (traffic tickets and disorderly persons offenses) and zoning and planning. He often prepares contracts, deeds, mortgages, powers of attorney, and other documents on behalf of realtors, title companies, mortgage companies and banks. Over the years, he has represented hundreds of clients in residential closings for both buyers and sellers, as well as in complex commercial matters. He has negotiated complicated contracts and settlements in a variety of contested matters.

            Mr. Carroll serves as both a commercial and personal injury arbitrator in the Atlantic County Superior Court, and has taken courses in arbitration training to qualify for these arbitration positions. He has had experience in many complex litigation matters involving real estate, business litigation, personal injury and other civil claims. He has argued cases in both the trial courts of New Jersey and the Appellate Division of the Superior Court.

            Mr. Carroll has also handled many personal injury claims, including car accidents and slip and fall claims. He has negotiated favorable settlements for his clients in a variety of claims, including litigating claims through their conclusion in the courts of New Jersey.
